Pregnancy Week 24

BABY

30 cm in length, about 500-600 g in weight. Arrived now at viability level. Babies born in this week are tried to be lived in very good intensive care environments.

The sense of taste have formed, caution when eating peppery food! Little lines have formed on the palm. Sweat glands begin to form. Movements are more regular and strong.

MOTHER

Weight gain should be balanced. The ideal one is to gain 2 kg monthly. Throughout pregnancy, averagely 11-13 kg weight should be gained. In this week, 50 g glucose screening test should be done. If the result of the first test is high, the second test is done with 100 g. Exercise and walking should be done. Vitamin and iron preparations should be used.
